“The beauty of sign painting is the metamorphosis of a blank wall turning into a beautiful mural,” @justinodaffer shares. But painting a mural 250 feet in the air isn’t just an art — it’s a 10-hour-a-day test of endurance, focus, and sweat. “I’ve been painting and drawing since I was a kid. I was a kooky boardwalk artist in Venice Beach for a couple years, and worked my way up.” Now working at @colossalmedia, the largest hand-painting advertising company in the world, Justin’s canvas is the side of a building — and his workdays are much more physically demanding. 10-hour days are common, doing everything from suspending scaffolding and carrying heavy supplies to actually painting the building. “We’re just out here trying to have fun and create some beautiful artwork.”
